These Terms of Use apply to this website and, where noted, to participation in programs run by Mohawk Valley Elite (“MVE,” “we,” “us”), a 501(c)(3) youth basketball organization.

Assumption of Risk

Basketball is a physical sport. Participation in MVE activities — tryouts, practices, training, and tournaments — involves inherent risk of injury. Nothing on this website replaces the signed liability waiver, medical release, and consent forms required at registration; those signed documents govern participation.

Content on this site is informational only. It is not medical, legal, or personalized training advice. Consult a qualified professional before beginning any training program or making decisions based on site content.

Schedules Subject to Change

Tournament dates, times, locations, brackets, and rosters may change without notice — that's the reality of youth sports. MVE is not liable for costs you incur (including travel, lodging, or meals) because of schedule changes or cancellations.

Payments & Refunds

Registration fees and our refund policy are governed by the terms presented at the time of registration. Ask before you pay — we will state the policy on the registration form rather than invent one here.

Conduct

Parents, players, and spectators agree to meet our code-of-conduct expectations: respect for officials, opponents, coaches, and facilities. MVE may remove a participant from the program for conduct violations, without refund.

Photos & Video

Photos and video taken at our events may be used on this website and our social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X) per the media consent collected at registration. To opt out of media use or request a takedown, email info@mvebasketball.com.

Third-Party Links

This site links to third-party services — the family portal, Tally interest forms, Stripe and Zeffy payments, tournament and facility websites, and social platforms. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New York law, MVE and its directors, coaches, and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or participation in our programs, except where such limitations are prohibited by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be brought in the state courts located in Herkimer County, New York.
