Each team is led by a current or former college player or coach — assigned to one team only, so every athlete receives their full attention.

Matt Lee
Head Coach
National Champion Head Coach @ Herkimer College
Lee graduated from Herkimer in 1999 as a Generals player and came back in 2003 to run the program. Across 22 seasons he is 539–150, with the 2019 NJCAA Division III national title off a 31–1 season, eight Region III crowns and National Coach of the Year honors. He also serves as assistant athletic director, per Herkimer College Athletics.

Deacon Judd

Player @ Oswego State
A 6‑6 forward from Mohawk and Central Valley Academy, Judd took SUNYAC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year in the same freshman season at Oswego State. He started all 28 games as a sophomore at 18.1 points and 9.0 rebounds a night and repeated on the All‑SUNYAC first team, per Oswego State Athletics.

Matt Doyle

Player @ Lyndon
Doyle is a 6‑5 forward from Whitesboro who came through Westmoreland, where he averaged 20.6 points and 14.5 rebounds as a senior and made two all‑conference teams. He spent his freshman year at Cazenovia, transferred to Lyndon for the fall of 2023 and now wears No. 44 as a senior forward, per Vermont State–Lyndon athletics.

Luke Fredsell

Player @ Lyndon
Fredsell played four seasons at guard for Lyndon — Northern Vermont University–Lyndon at the time — from 2018–19 through 2021–22. The Whitesboro native and Westmoreland graduate hung a career‑best 27 points on SUNY Poly in January 2022 and made seven threes in a game at Husson that February, per Vermont State–Lyndon athletics.

Greg Gonyea

Assistant Coach @ Dolgeville
The Dolgeville native left Lyndon with 1,551 points in 87 games, more than any Hornet of the modern Division III era. He was NAC Rookie of the Year in 2023, led the conference at 20.8 points a game as a senior, captained the team three years, and won the 2026 NAC Man of the Year award, the conference's highest honor, per Vermont State–Lyndon athletics.

Levi Spina

Player @ Utica University
Spina is a 5‑10 guard from Frankfort and Frankfort‑Schuyler High School, now in his graduate year at Utica while finishing an MBA. He played on the Pioneers side that won the Empire 8 and reached the NCAA tournament, and was a two‑time Center State Conference first‑team pick in high school, per Utica University Athletics.

Tyrese Harris

Harris captained Lyndon in all four of his seasons, playing 105 games and finishing with 507 points and 323 assists — the program's Division III‑era record. He spent 2024–25 as Lyndon's graduate assistant before joining Utica's staff. He arrived at college from Wiesbaden High School in Germany, where he also played soccer, per Utica University Athletics.

Damien Call

Call came out of Rome Free Academy and spent five years at Utica, opening with Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and closing past 1,000 career points. In his last season he was Empire 8 tournament MVP and an All‑ECAC second‑team pick, averaging 14 points a game, per Utica University Athletics.

Justin Mayers

Mayers is a 6‑1 guard from Hastings‑on‑Hudson who was on the Utica roster from 2015–16 through his senior year in 2018–19. He played 22 games as a freshman with four starts, scoring 95 points and pulling down 64 rebounds, and put up a season‑high 14 against Medaille, per Utica University Athletics.

'Spud' Lee

Assistant Coach @ Herkimer College
Spud is head coach Matt Lee's son and played a season for him at Herkimer. A 6‑2 guard out of Utica and Whitesboro High School, he appeared in all 27 games as a freshman in 2022–23 with 14 starts, and was hired onto the Generals' staff in April 2025, per Herkimer College Athletics.

Greg Griffin

Griffin is a 6‑5 forward from Frankfort who came through Frankfort‑Schuyler High School. He played at Mohawk Valley Community College under Harley Fuller before moving to SUNY Geneseo, where he was on the Knights roster from 2022–23 through his senior year in 2024–25 while studying business administration, per SUNY Geneseo Athletics.

Devon Flynn
Strength & Conditioning
Utica University Strength & Conditioning Coach
Before he joined Utica's strength and conditioning staff, Flynn played there — a 6‑6 center from Red Hook who arrived by way of Hudson Valley Community College and appeared in 31 games across the 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons. He studied exercise science, per Utica University Athletics.
